Service Specifications

Sample requirements

  • 1 µg of high-quality, isolated total RNA (please contact us to discuss options for low-input or low-quality samples)

Sample shipment

  • Mix your samples with a RNA stabilizing reagent
    • Recommended: Zymo Research DNA/RNA Shield (2X Concentrate), Cat # R1200-25
  • Overnight shipment at room temperature with a courier service or normal mail
  • For our local customers in Innsbruck (Austria): Free early morning pickup

Detailed service description

  • mRNA enrichment/reverse transcription (oligo-dT based)
  • Oxford Nanopore-based cDNA sequencing of 3′ transcript ends
  • Median read length of 300 bases or longer, with no reads shorter than 100 bases
  • Sequencing depth according to your requirements

Analysis output

  • Publication ready graphs and heatmaps
  • Quantification of all detectable genes as excel files
  • Results from statistical analysis/differential gene expression as excel files
    • Additional for human/mouse: Pathway analysis (GSEA MSigDB Hallmark signatures)
  • Publication ready description of the service for your Materials & Methods section
  • Raw data

Data delivery

  • Typically within 5-6 business-days after sample arrival
  • Secure and fast data delivery via download from cloud-based servers
